What makes a Saju chart accurate
Most of a Saju chart is arithmetic, and most calculators agree. They differ in three places: births near Ipchun (around 4 February, when the Saju year changes), births on the day of a solar term (when the month changes), and births between 23:00 and 23:59. Heartloop times every solar term to the second and states which convention it follows at midnight, so you can check the result instead of taking it on trust.
The chart itself — eight characters, Day Master, Five Elements balance, and today's fortune — is free. In-depth readings such as the 10-year luck cycles (Daewun), the yearly forecast, and compatibility are sold individually.

Frequently asked questions
- Is Saju the same as Chinese Bazi?
- Yes. Saju is the Korean name for the Four Pillars system (四柱八字). The calculation is the same; Korean practice differs mostly in interpretation and terminology.
- Do I need my exact birth time?
- Only for the hour pillar. Your year, month, and day pillars — including your Day Master — come from your date of birth, except near solar-term boundaries and between 23:00 and 23:59.
- What is a Day Master?
- The first character of your day pillar. It is one of ten Heavenly Stems (Gap Wood through Gye Water) and is the reference point for reading the rest of the chart.
- How do I know my Day Master in K-Saju?
- Your Day Master (Ilgan) is the Heavenly Stem of your birth day pillar among the 10 stems (Gap/Eul Wood, Byeong/Jeong Fire, Mu/Gi Earth, Gyeong/Sin Metal, Im/Gye Water). Enter your birth year, month, and day in the HeartLoop calculator on this page to compute your exact Day Master and Five Elements ratio in 3 seconds.
- What is my 2027 fortune based on my birth date?
- 2027 is the Year of the Red Fire Goat (Ding-Mi, 丁未). Rather than relying on birth-year zodiac alone, HeartLoop cross-references 2027 Fire-Earth energy against your personal Day Master and solar-term month pillar to pinpoint your peak months for career, wealth, and love.
